Dr. Juan Troconis
Dr. Juan Troconis is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 10 years of experience in the field. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, Dr. Troconis completed his full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at the University of Puerto Rico.
After finishing his residency, he joined the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Metrohealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. As the only Level 1 Trauma Center of the Northeast Ohio at the time, he gained extensive experience clinically and academically. After several years, he decided to take an opportunity to transition to private practice in Austin, Texas in order to serve the local community.
Dr. Troconis specializes in a variety of surgical procedures, including dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, jaw surgery, and reconstructive surgery. He is dedicated to providing his patients with the highest level of care and is known for his gentle and compassionate approach, always striving to improve his patients’ quality of life.
Dr. Troconis is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Texas Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities. He is also involved in several community service organizations and volunteers his time to provide dental care to underserved populations.
Dr. Frank Bonasso
Dr. Bonasso is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He did undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, and obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit. He performed an oral surgery internship at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, as well as Oral Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. After completing his residency, he served in the US Army Dental Corps, including being stationed at Fort Hood, TX for 2 years. He then worked as a staff instructor in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Training Program at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI. After his military service, Dr. Bonasso entered private practice and has been serving Austin since 1998. Outside of work, Dr. Bonasso enjoys time with his family.
